Project Overview

Bethlehem Church became a client of Clever Marketing back in 2022, primarily to help with branding and their new website. In 2023, Bethlehem Church began working with Generis, another Clever client, to launch a two-year giving campaign. Together, they decided the theme of the fundraising initiative would be called Be/Cause.

As talented as the Bethlehem Church staff is, they didn't have the margin to execute all of the assets needed to make a campaign like Be/Cause a success. So they turned to the Clever Marketing team for the assist. Clever’s creative team created the campaign brand, Vision Book, and campaign website landing page.

“Clever has been an invaluable teammate in launching our BE/CAUSE initiative,” said Bethlehem’s communications director, Candy Greene. “Clever was able to give every aspect of our initiative the time and attention it needed while we continued to manage the day-to-day ministry responsibilities.”

Clever also provided project management help to ensure that all campaign elements were completed on time and to the church’s standards. 

“Working with Clever has relieved pressure for our communications team by giving us back the margin needed to focus on the areas where we excel,” added Greene.

Bethlehem Church’s original goal for campaign commitments was $27 million, and they exceeded that goal by receiving over $31.5 million in giving pledges! This encouraged Bethlehem’s leadership team to set a new goal of $34 million as they continue to fundraise. 

Part of this giving will go towards improving the church’s three campuses in east Georgia. The remaining amount will be contributed to a number of local nonprofits in the surrounding counties. By elevating their branding and communications, Bethlehem Church has been able to experience a successful start to the Be/Cause Initiative and expand their church’s generosity.
