Since 2015, Generis has partnered with members of the team at Clever, both individually and collectively. At that time, they knew who they wanted to serve, but their leadership and internal team struggled to increase the size of their audience and the reach of their brand. 

At the time, Generis was being contacted by interested leads, but it was difficult to track and nurture these potential customers. The data being collected only showed a small glimpse of the customer journey. Generis was using a proprietary CRM, but it was proving too difficult and costly to manage. This led to missed opportunities and caused prospective clients to look elsewhere.

Starting in 2015, Generis adopted HubSpot’s Inbound Methodology as a vehicle to serve ministries with thought-leadership centered around developing a generosity culture, even if they could never hire Generis. Through an organic inbound strategy featuring valuable free content, Clever helped grow Generis’ marketing contact list organically from 2,500 to over 100,000 without leveraging paid advertising. 

Generis also sought Clever’s support with its marketing operations. The Clever team migrated all customer contacts into HubSpot—providing Generis with one central tool for the entire customer journey. This massive investment of time set the Generis team up for success in the long run.

Following this transition, Generis saw immediate results. As they began capturing new leads, their team saw a 50-65% conversion rate on resource pages thanks to targeted marketing content. Since working with Clever, Generis has seen an increase of 300% in business growth—and those numbers only continue to grow.
